Replica icon in an oak frame of Pope John XXIII's favorite painting, the Bulgarian artwork of the Virgin Sveta Bogoritza Theotocos.

This concerns number 198 of a limited edition of 989 numbered copies. The certificate of authenticity is located on the back of the icon.

The icon is 24-carat fine gold plated, set with gemstones Carnelian, Sapphire, Ruby and Lapis lazuli.

The original of this icon was donated by Tsar Ivan Alexander to a church in Membria in 1343. The masterpiece then came into the possession of the Vatican and became a favorite work of the Pope. He loved the icon so much that he always took her with him on his travels.
