Curiosities

Curiosities are the oldest and most honest category in the collecting tradition: objects that draw attention for reasons not always easy to explain. The collection includes smoking accessories, toys, tools, religious art, enamelware, and optical instruments, pieces that fall outside the established paths of the decorative arts but belong to them nonetheless. These are finds that have something to say.
