Vases

The vase is one of the most persistent forms in European decorative culture, present in virtually every period and material. The collection includes pieces in glass, ceramics, and porcelain, from West German stoneware of the 1960s and 70s to hand-blown Bohemian glass and classically decorated nineteenth-century porcelain. Form, material, and surface are the criteria by which pieces are selected.
