Black-and-white postcard of the Labyrinth in Luxembourg's Little Switzerland, published by Kunstverlag P.C. Schoren, Luxembourg, as part of the Serie Müllertal. The composition presents a vertically built image of a massive sandstone formation, broken on the right by a natural rock opening that looks out onto the forest beyond. On the left, slender birch trunks form a foreground screen, while in the background the rock layer merges into the wooded edge of the plateau. The printed caption "Petite Suisse luxembourgeoise - Labyrinth" appears at the bottom. The card is in good condition. No series number is visible on the reverse, probably due to trimming.
The Labyrinth, in German Felsenlabyrinth, is one of the most accessible rock labyrinths in the Petite Suisse and lies directly beside the CR364 road between Echternach and Berdorf. It belongs to a group of named rock formations that form the classic hiking circuit around Berdorf: Perekop, Huel Lee, Däiwelsinsel, Priedegtstull, Malakofftuerm, Siweschlëff and Labyrinth. The name evokes the capricious networks of paths that wind between the detached sandstone towers, formed by millennia of erosion on the slippery marl layer beneath the Lias sandstone. The region has belonged to the UNESCO Global Geopark Mëllerdall since 2015.
