The reverse shows rich graphic printing in green ink with numerous medals and decorations, a trademark of Langhans, who also took portraits of monarchs and intellectuals of his time.

Dimensions: approx. 16.5 × 10.8 cm
Condition: Good, slight surface discoloration
Provenance: Prague, Austro-Hungarian Empire
Johann Langhans (1851–1928) was one of the most famous photographers in Central Europe. His studio in Prague and Marienbad gained international fame.
The careful composition, soft shadows, and decorative scalloped edges are characteristic of the transitional period between the formal 19th-century and more natural 20th-century portrait style.
