Old Dutch hand-painted foot bowl

Period: ca. 1950–1970
Technique: Earthenware / faience (hand-painted)

This generous footed bowl is a beautiful example of Dutch pottery craftsmanship. It's entirely hand-painted in a rich palette of deep blue, warm red, ochre yellow, moss green, and brown—traditional shades that directly evoke the iconic Old Dutch pottery of the 17th and 18th centuries.
The bowl rests on an elegant, tall base that is also richly decorated all around. The whole is reminiscent of the floral motifs of Delftware and the rustic atmosphere of 18th-century Dutch farmhouses.
The interior is surprisingly ornate, allowing the piece to be both decorative and functional — ideal as a fruit bowl, flower pot, or as a standalone art object.
