Cologne Earthenware Beer Mug B. Moerbeek 1870-1890

B. Moerbeek Jr. was a company located in Amsterdam. In the 19th and early 20th century it was one of the main beer and water dealers in the Netherlands. They sold beer to restaurants and bars.

This stoneware stein is advertising beer sold in syphons.

Text on the stein's front reads "B. Moerbeek Jr. Beer on syphons"

The stein will date to the last quarter of the 19th century, around 1870 ~ 1890. The base is not marked but we can assume it was made in the westerwald region.
