GUP New Dutch Photography Talent 2012

GUP New — Dutch Photography Talent 2012 is the first edition in the annual series through which Dutch photography magazine GUP documents emerging photographic talent. The publication presents work by one hundred young photographers who made their mark on the Dutch photography scene in the years leading up to 2012. Hardcover, 412 pages, in English.

GUP, Global Understanding through Photography, was founded to bring Dutch photography to an international audience. With the New series, the magazine took a curatorial stance: not a survey of established names, but an annual selection of emerging voices. This inaugural edition marks the beginning of what would become an influential series, and now also offers a retrospective view of a generation of Dutch photographers at the start of their careers.
