A beautiful antique door knocker made of solid bronze, originating from a French chateau. The face of a Bacchante, a follower of the wine god Bacchus, is delicately carved with grapevines and leaves in her hair. A rare piece of cast art from the late 19th century, a symbol of protection, abundance, and elegance.
The warm patina and weight reveal the craftsmanship of sand casting, making this an authentic, decorative object of museum quality.
