Antique Royal Delft Wall Plate with Dutch Mill (1924)

Sale price€115,00

This hand-painted wall plate, made by Royal Delft (De Porceleyne Fles) , depicts a classic Dutch landscape with a windmill by the water. The composition is understated and spacious, with a low horizon and soft clouds, typical of Delft landscapes from the interwar period.

The plate is hand-painted in deep cobalt blue over a lightly crackled glaze, giving the surface a vibrant, historical look. The decorative border with floral motifs is also hand-applied. The back features the characteristic handwritten markings and the traditional wire hanging system.

This is a decorative collector's item, intended as a wall plate, not a piece of pottery for everyday use. A stylish and authentic piece for lovers of Delftware, Dutch landscapes, and early 20th-century ceramics.
