GUP New Dutch Photography Talent 2014

GUP New — Dutch Photography Talent 2014 is the third edition in the annual series through which Dutch photography magazine GUP documents emerging photographic talent. The publication presents work by one hundred young photographers who made their mark on the Dutch photography scene in the years leading up to 2014. Hardcover, 412 pages, in English.

GUP, Global Understanding through Photography, was founded to bring Dutch photography to an international audience. The New series became an annual barometer of national talent, assembled by editor-in-chief Peter Bas Mensink and gallerist Roy Kahmann, two of the most influential figures in the Dutch photography world of that period. This edition reflects the range and formal ambition of Dutch photography around 2013, from documentary and staged work to the intimate and the politically charged.
