Right of withdrawal

You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receipt without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party designated by you who is not the carrier, has taken physical possession of the goods.

How to exercise your right of withdrawal

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us within 14 days of receipt.

This can be done by e-mail: hello@thecollectionist.nl

You may send a clear statement, for example by e-mail. You can also use our withdrawal form, but this is not mandatory.

Returning the product

After withdrawal, you have another 14 days to return the product to us.

The product must be carefully packaged and returned in the same condition in which you received it, including any accessories or documentation.

Many objects in our collection are unique, fragile or difficult to replace. The risk of return shipping lies with the sender. We therefore recommend that returns are always properly protected and insured.

The product must be packaged in such a way that it arrives undamaged. Damage occurring during return shipping is the responsibility of the sender.

You may inspect the product as you would in a physical shop. If the product has been used beyond this or is damaged, we may charge a reduction in value.

Return costs

The direct costs of returning an order are the responsibility of the customer.

Return shipping costs are not reimbursed.

For international returns, these costs can be significant and vary by country and carrier.

Refund

After correct withdrawal, you will receive a full refund of the purchase amount, including the standard shipping costs originally paid.

We will process the refund within 14 days after receiving your withdrawal notification. We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods, or until you have provided proof of return, whichever occurs first.

The refund will be made using the same payment method as the original transaction, unless otherwise agreed.

Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

• products made to the customer’s specifications
• clearly personalised products
• products that cannot be returned for hygiene or health reasons and whose seal has been broken

If a product is non-returnable, this will be clearly stated on the product page.

Damage during transport

Please check your order immediately upon delivery.

Any damage or discrepancies must be reported within 48 hours by e-mail, preferably with clear photos of the object, packaging and shipping label.
