The Collectionist cares a lot about your privacy. We therefore only process data that we need for (improving) our services and handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.

This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services provided by The Collectionist. The starting date for the validity of these terms and conditions is February 1, 2021, with the publication of a new version the validity of all previous versions expires.

This privacy policy describes what information about you is collected by us, what this information is used for and with whom and under what conditions this information may be shared with third parties. We also explain to you how we store your data and how we protect your data against misuse and what rights you have with regard to the personal data you provide to us.

What data is collected and stored?
When you place an order in the online store, we ask you for your name and address (name, address, place of residence), your e-mail address and, if necessary, your telephone number. We need this information to create an invoice, ship items and to keep you informed of the status of your order.

How long will your data be kept?
Based on applicable administrative obligations, we must keep invoices with your (personal) data, so we will keep this data for as long as the applicable period runs.

Who has access to your data?
The Collectionist employees have access to your data to process your order. The information you enter when placing an order or sending a message is stored on the servers of our processor Shopify. Shopify ensures a level of security that is appropriate for the data to be processed and takes adequate measures to protect data against loss or any form of unlawful processing. For example, a secure SSL connection is used as standard.

If you place an order with us, it is our job to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of Post.nl or a delivery service to carry out deliveries. It is necessary for us to share your name, address and residence details with them.

What are your rights?
You have the right to request access, correction, deletion and portability of your data at any time. If you have made a purchase, we will store your data in connection with your transaction for administrative obligations. In that case, we cannot delete your data until the applicable period has expired.

If you believe that we are handling your data incorrectly, you can submit a complaint by e-mail or telephone (see above for contact details). You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
