Antique Delft blue wall plate with a sailing boat – De Porceleyne Fles (Royal Delft), 1912

Sale price€200,00

This antique wall plate is a charming example of early 20th-century Delftware, made by Royal Delft – De Porceleyne Fles around 1912. The scene depicts a sailboat on calm water, with a windmill in the distance. The composition is open and tranquil, with a loose brushwork typical of this period.

The glaze exhibits fine, even crackle, consistent with its age and material. This contributes to its authenticity and gives the plate a warm, weathered appearance. On the back, there are several handwritten inscriptions, a number, and a historical paper label with the text "porceleyne fles 1912 – Th. van Arum – E. van Roggeveen." This indicates previous collection or registration purposes and increases its documentary value.

The plate features a metal hanging system and is clearly intended as a decorative wall piece. Its compact size makes it perfect for a wall arrangement with multiple Delft plates or as a subtle accent piece in an interior.
