An atmospheric, authentic English set from the 1950s or 1960s. This combination consists of an oval storage tin with a matching serving tray (trivet), in the classic "Black Tole" style.

The set has a deep black base and is richly decorated with a romantic bouquet of pink roses, forget-me-nots, and orange flowers. The edges are finished with elegant gold garlands and curls, giving the whole a chic look.

In the past, such a set was often used for serving chocolates or biscuits (with the bowl catching crumbs), but today it is also beautiful as a storage container for jewellery, sewing kit or as a decorative piece on a dresser.
