Who doesn't know him? Flipje, the iconic fruit man from the De Betuwe jam factory in Tiel. This charming vintage tin takes you straight back to the Dutch kitchen of the 1950s.
The tin is dark green with the distinctive red band. The lid proudly features Flipje with the text "I guarantee quality." On the side, we see the beautiful old typography for "Conpura Prima Rinsche Appelsiroop" (Conpura Prima Rinse Apple Syrup) . A nice historical detail is the warning on the edge of the lid: "This packaging is not suitable for long-term storage," a reminder of the time when preservation techniques were different from today.
This tin has a weathered character. The exterior has a beautiful patina, and the interior shows clear signs of wear (rust formation), which attest to its age and use. A wonderful decorative item for the kitchen or as an addition to a Flipje collection.
