Solemn military portrait of a German officer from the Imperial period, photographed at the renowned Atelier E. Postlep in Berlin.
The man wears an impressive uniform with a high helmet ( Pickelhaube ), sabre, epaulettes and a cloak over one shoulder — symbols of rank and honor within the Prussian army.

The back of the card features an ornate design in Art Nouveau lettering with the text "Gegr. 1880," which indicates the studio's founding year. The address , Chaussee-Strasse 12, Ecke Tieckstrasse, was a well-known location for portrait photography in Berlin at the time.
