Antique biscuit tin Lefèvre-Utile (LU) – Grands Prix Paris & Brussels, ca. 1900–1910
Antique rectangular biscuit tin by Lefèvre-Utile (LU) , made around 1900–1910 . The tin is decorated with multi-coloured lithographic representations of figurative scenes in late 19th-century style. The lid shows a central scene within a decorative rim.
The tin bears references to the Grands Prix of Paris and Brussels , which point to international exhibitions and quality awards from the early 20th century. It is made of tinplate with a hinged lid and rounded corners.
The condition is antique and used: visible wear, discoloration, scratches, and patina consistent with age and use. No restorations have been observed. The decoration and design are still clearly legible.
