The lid and sides depict idyllic village scenes with the abbey church, grazing cows, and free-range chickens and roosters. The tin is made by the renowned tin manufacturer Massilly France (see embossed logo). Originally filled with Sablés Pur Beurre (butter biscuits).
The original sticker on the bottom still bears an expiration date of September 30, 1987 , indicating this tin dates back to the 1980s. A perfect item for a country kitchen or antique-style interior.
