General terms and conditions – The Collectionist
Article 1 – Definitions
In these general terms and conditions the following terms are understood to mean:

The Collectionist
The sole proprietorship trading under the name The Collectionist , established in the Netherlands, registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 60931345 , VAT identification number NL002123208B07 . -
Consumer
The natural person who is acting for purposes which are outside his trade, business, craft or profession. -
Customer
Any natural or legal person who enters into an agreement with The Collectionist. -
Agreement
Any distance contract between The Collectionist and the customer. -
Product
All goods offered by The Collectionist, including vintage, antique and second-hand objects.
Article 2 – Applicability
- These general terms and conditions apply to every offer from The Collectionist and to every agreement concluded.
- Before placing an order, the customer is given the opportunity to consult and save these conditions.
- By placing an order, the customer agrees to these general terms and conditions.
- Deviations from these conditions are only valid if agreed in writing.
Article 3 – The offer
- The offer contains as accurate a description as possible of the products offered.
- Since these are often unique objects, small deviations may occur.
- Images are for illustrative purposes only and may differ from actual product.
- Obvious mistakes or errors in the offer do not bind The Collectionist.
Article 4 – Conclusion of the agreement
- The agreement is concluded when the customer completes the order and payment has been received.
- After completion, the customer will receive an order confirmation by email.
- The Collectionist reserves the right to refuse an order for valid reasons.
Article 5 – Prices and payment
- All prices are stated in euros and include VAT, unless otherwise stated.
- Payment takes place immediately upon placing the order via the payment methods offered.
- Any shipping costs and additional charges will be clearly stated before completing the order.
- Part of the range consists of margin goods on which the VAT margin scheme applies. In that case, VAT is included in the price, but not listed separately and not deductible for business customers.
Article 6 – Delivery
- Delivery will take place at the delivery address specified by the customer.
- Delivery times stated are indicative.
- The risk of loss or damage passes to you upon delivery.
Article 7 – Right of withdrawal
- The consumer has the right to cancel the agreement within 14 days after receipt.
- Cancellation takes place in accordance with The Collectionist's return policy.
- Return costs are borne by the consumer, unless otherwise agreed.
Article 8 – Exclusion of the right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal is excluded for products that:
- are manufactured according to consumer specifications
- be clearly personalized
- cannot be returned for hygienic or health reasons
Article 9 – Warranty and conformity
- The statutory warranty applies to all products.
- Products must comply with what may reasonably be expected.
- Traces of use and signs of age do not constitute a defect.
Article 10 – Liability
- The Collectionist is not liable for indirect damages.
- Liability is limited to the order amount.
- This limitation does not apply in cases of intent or gross negligence.
Article 11 – Complaints
- Complaints should be reported as soon as possible via info@thecollectionist.nl.
- Complaints will be answered substantively within 14 days.
Article 12 – Privacy
Personal data is processed in accordance with The Collectionist's privacy policy.
Article 13 – Applicable law
- Dutch law applies to all agreements.
- Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
