Antique Frisian biscuit tin D. Sieperda Harlingen – Fine Frisian Butter-Drabbelkoeken
A tall, cylindrical metal cookie tin from the D. Sieperda bakery in Harlingen, featuring a richly decorated multicolor lithography. The tin bears the original inscriptions "Fine Frisian Butter-Drabbelkoeken" and "Crowned Harlingen 1908 ," referring to a historical award.
The design features repeating ornamental bands, a central coat of arms, and typography in shades of red, cream, green, and gold. The tin has a separate lid and base and is made of thin sheet steel, typical of early 20th-century commercial packaging.
The condition is exceptionally good for this type of object: the colors have remained vibrant, the lithography is largely intact, and there are no visible cracks or structural distortions. However, there are minor signs of wear and age consistent with its age.
