Rectangular metal storage tin for safety matches, made of lithographically printed tinplate. The tin features multicolored illustrations of domestic scenes, framed by decorative borders in red, yellow, and black. The lid depicts a swallow with the designation "Säkerhets Tändstickor" (Paraffinade) , and multilingual names including "The Swallow" and "De Zwaluw" (The Swallow). Production is noted at Uddevalla Tändsticksfabrik, Sweden.

The tin has a hinged lid and a gold-colored metal interior. The exterior shows minor wear and edge discoloration consistent with age and original use. The illustrations are legible and largely intact. This item is suitable as a collectible, decorative object, or functional storage box.
