A touch of nostalgia with a raw edge. This rectangular vintage tin from the renowned De Gruyter chain evokes the atmosphere of the English countryside, yet also proudly displays its age.
The tin is decorated all around with colorful, classical scenes: a stagecoach crossing a bridge, a hunt on horseback with hounds, and an arrival at an old inn. A style reminiscent of the stories of Charles Dickens.
On the bottom, you'll find the iconic De Gruyter slogan embossed: "And better value and 10 percent only De Gruyter." The tin is also marked "Container Made in Great Britain," confirming the packaging's English origins.
The tin has a very weathered appearance with significant paint loss (see photos). This worn character makes it a perfect styling element for a rugged, rustic, or industrial interior where perfection isn't essential.
