A beautiful example of mid-century English craftsmanship, this round tin was made by the renowned manufacturer Barringer, Wallis & Manners of Mansfield.
The tin immediately stands out with its deep burgundy color and distinctive crackled finish (like cracked paint), giving it an authentic, antique look. The lid features a romantic, classic floral bouquet of roses and violets in soft pastel shades. The tin is finished with elegant gold swirls all around.
The gold interior creates a luxurious contrast when opened. Originally likely intended for luxury chocolates or cookies, its timeless design now makes it perfect as a jewelry box, sewing tin, or stylish storage unit on a dresser.
