This antique cocoa tin from Pette, Wormerveer, features a detailed lithographic image of a beach scene, depicting fishermen, sailing ships, and figures on the beach. The tin was produced between 1910 and 1924 by Bekkers & Zoon, Widow J. (Dordrecht) and served as packaging for cocoa.
The rectangular metal tin shows clear signs of wear consistent with its age, including edge wear and minor damage to the lithography. These signs contribute to the object's authenticity and historical appeal.
Such tins were used for the presentation and storage of cocoa in the early 20th century and are today mainly sought after as collector's items or decorative historical items .
