Charming Lonka tin from the years 1955–1965 , made by the Dutch candy brand Lonka (Lonkahuizen, Rotterdam) .
The tin shows colorful lithographs of famous cities and castles from the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg , including Amsterdam, Breda, Dinant, Beaufort and Colmar-Berg.
The lid features symbolic Benelux motifs: tulips, industry, vineyards and cityscapes, accompanied by the three national coats of arms.
These tins were used for caramel and fudge toffees , which Lonka exported to the entire Benelux at that time.
A beautiful example of post-war graphic packaging in which nostalgia and international pride come together.
