A striking portrait of a man with a characteristic moustache and monocle , elegantly captured by Kolinský in Náchod (Czech Republic).
The statue shows the confident style of the fin-de-siècle bourgeoisie: well-groomed, intellectual and proud.
The soft vignetting and light sepia tones enhance the dignity of the portrait.

The back of the card bears the beautiful emblem of the Kolinský Náchod studio, printed in gold brown — typical of the high-quality studios of the late 19th century.

Technique: Albumen photo on cardboard ( cabinet card )
Dimensions: approx. 16.5 × 10.8 cm
Condition: Good; some light signs of wear consistent with age
Origin: Náchod, Czech Republic

The monocle was a status symbol for intellectuals and gentlemen around 1890.
This portrait embodies that refined zeitgeist — the moment when photography became more than documentation, but a tool of self-representation and style.
