Hand-painted icon of Saint George, depicted as a princely warrior saint with a lance and richly detailed robes. The red cloak and gold-colored background are deliberately treated with crackle, sanding marks, and pitting to create an aged appearance. The panel is made of solid wood with visible wormholes, cracks, and a dark patina of aging.

On the reverse is a loose label with the text “Saint Georges XVIth century”, probably added for decorative purposes; the piece itself is stylistically and materially attributable to the late 20th century.

A heavy and characteristic icon with a strong visual presence through size and color contrasts.
