French biscuit tin "Port Haliguen" – Brittany harbor scene, ca. 1955–1970
Rectangular metal biscuit tin featuring a colorful French harbor scene, marked "Port Haliguen," referring to the port of Quiberon in Brittany. The obverse depicts an illustrated scene with fishing boats, a lighthouse, and a girl in traditional Breton costume, executed in a picturesque style typical of French decorative tins from the mid-20th century.
The sides are decorated with a repeating floral pattern in shades of blue, green, and orange. The tin was industrially manufactured and intended for domestic use, but is now valued as a decorative object with a regional French character.
The condition is used: visible signs of wear and minor paint wear on the edges and corners, consistent with age and use. No structural damage or deformation. A charming tin for the kitchen, interior, or as a collector's item among French decorative objects.
