Elegant French candy tin by Lefèvre-Denise , Nancy-Laxou, issued around 1955 on the occasion of the 115th anniversary (1840–1955). The tin shows in sepia the famous Place Stanislas in Nancy, with the ornate gates by Jean Lamour , framed by gold-colored accents and floral motifs. On the side is the inscription “Garanti Arôme Naturel” , and the bottom warns against counterfeits with the text “Méfiez-vous des contrefaçons!” A beautifully preserved piece of French confectionery history — charming as a decorative object or as part of a vintage tin collection.
