An early 20th-century Droste tin featuring four different illustrations, each from the classic house style of Droste & Co., Haarlem. The tin features, among other things, the familiar nurse motif —one of the most influential advertising images in Dutch design history—alongside the family crest, typographic brand prints, and a decorative lid with a geometric border.
This rectangular storage tin was used for cocoa and chocolate and is made with multicolor lithography on metal, a technique typical of the period. The interior is uncoated with minor signs of wear. The images are largely preserved brightly; the surface shows minor signs of wear consistent with age.
