Rectangular metal pastry tin from Enkhuizer Banket , featuring an illustration of Urk and its harbor. The front depicts a family in traditional Zuiderzee costume on the quay, with fishing boats and harbor activity in the background. The sides feature continuous panoramas of Dutch harbors and cityscapes, executed in the same characteristic style.
This tin is part of a well-known series of Enkhuizer Banket tins depicting Zuiderzee towns and associated costumes , including variations depicting Volendam, Spakenburg, Marken, and Urk. This series was produced in the postwar period and served as decorative packaging for regional pastries, featuring recognizable local iconography.
The condition is used, with visible signs of wear on the inside and minor wear to the edges and corners, consistent with age and original use. The lithographic images are clear and well-preserved. A representative and collectible example of Dutch regional advertising tin from the mid-20th century.
