Bommel and Tom Poes, who developed the Bolletje logo as part of a broader advertising concept. Bolletje was founded by Gerardus Johannes ter Beek in Almelo in 1867 and grew in the 1950s into one of the Netherlands' largest rusk producers, partly through the legendary advertising slogan \"Ik wil Bolletje!\" and a collaboration with advertising agency De Zuil.
